Parlay betting formula

March 21, 2024

A parlay, or an accumulator or combo bet, is a single bet that links together two or more individual wagers for a higher payout. For a parlay bet to be successful, all individual bets within the parlay must win. If any bet in the parlay loses, the entire bet is considered a loss.

The formula to calculate the payout of a parlay is based on the odds of each bet. The formula for calculating the payout of a parlay is as follows:
Payout = (Stake * (Odds1 * Odds2 * … * Oddsn)) + Stake

– Payout is the potential payout of the parlay
– Stake is the amount of money wagered on the parlay
– Odds1, Odds2, …, Oddsn are the odds of each bet included in the parlay
Here is an example to demonstrate how the formula works:
Let’s say you want to place a $50 parlay bet on two games:

– Game 1: Team A to win with odds of 2.00
– Game 2: Team B to win with odds of 1.75
Using the formula, the payout for this parlay would be:

Payout = ($50 * (2.00 * 1.75)) + $50
Payout = ($50 * 3.5) + $50
Payout = $175 + $50
Payout = $225

If both teams win, you will receive a total payout of $225, which includes your initial stake of $50. If either of the teams loses, the entire parlay would be considered a loss, and you would not receive any winnings.
