Kyle Schwaber hit another home run on their last match as the Philadelphia Phillies led 2-1 in the MLB playoff series as Philadelphia Phillies beat the San Diego Padres 4-2.

After an 8-5 loss to San Diego at California State last Wednesday, Philadelphia played well in front of home fans at Citizens Bank Park. Phillies starter Suarez gave up two runs in five innings before the Philadelphia bullpen took over to seal the victory.

Once again, the slugger Schwaber set the tone for the win, beating Padres starter Joe Musgrove’s opening homer to give the Phillies a 1-1 in the bottom of the first quarter. 0 leads.

Schwaber also hit a staggering 488-footer at Petco Park on Tuesday in a win for the Phillies. Outfielder Juan Soto picked padres infielder Jack Cronenworth at the beginning of the fourth to make it 1-1.

But when Jean Segura hit a free throw line in right field to score for Alec Bohm and Bryson Stott, Philadelphia immediately responded to a 3-1 lead.

Padres Talisman Kim Ha-Seong opened the ball for Trent Grisham in the fifth to cut the deficit to 3-2. San Diego looked poised to pile on top of sixth after only one out for third and first entrants.

But Segura, Bryson Stott, and Rhys Hopkins put together an excellent two-person game that kept the Phillies out of the woods and their lead.

The Phillies then took the lead further when Bohm scored Nick Castellanos on the double in the bottom of the sixth to make it 4-2. The Phillies were closer to Seranthony Dominguez’s scoreless final two innings to seal the victory after a strikeout-swinging Austin Nola.

Game 4 of the best-of-seven National League Championship Series is on their next match in Philadelphia. The winner will face the New York Yankees or the Houston Astros in the World Series.
