Morgan Whittaker, a winger for Swansea City, has been pursued by Rangers and is eager to join Michael Beale’s Ibrox revolution.

According to reports from Wales, the Light Blues’ initial offer for winger, who had impressed while on loan at Plymouth Argyle in the first half of the season, was rejected. According to Record Sport, there have been preliminary discussions and a discrepancy between the values placed on the two clubs.

Todd Cantwell, 22, is a player Beale wants to bring to Ibrox in this transfer window. Cantwell is currently playing for Norwich City. Swansea City is eager to hold onto Whittaker, who received praise for helping Plymouth win promotion to League One before being brought back this month. The former England under-20 international is reported to be interested in moving to Ibrox, and Rangers are working to see if a deal can be made. This season, the player has nine goals and seven assists.

Beale thinks Whittaker, who is versatile enough to play anywhere along the front line, may offer him something different from what his Ibrox team is currently capable of. Whittaker is viewed as a potential future star by Swansea by City manager Russell Martin, a former player for the Rangers.

Whittaker came from Derby County in 2021 and spent the previous season on loan at Lincoln City. He still has two more years left on his Swansea contract. In the meantime, Rangers are in a strong position in the competition to sign Todd Cantwell from Norwich City.

The midfielder’s contract expires in the summer, and Carrow Road will lose him. PSV Eindhoven of the Netherlands has been mentioned as a potential suitor, but Rangers are also interested. According to Ibrox insiders, Rangers have not yet started formal contract negotiations with Cantwell and his team.
