The timing of the career year couldn’t be better, as it coincided with the launch of his 1st signature shoe, the Jordan Luka 1. Perhaps we haven’t seen a more successful first shoe in the signature line since “His Airness” took off in the mid-1980s.

It’s only fitting that Doncic made basketball and sneaker history as the iconic Jordan Brand athlete. Even better, Doncic’s peers in basketball are quickly adapting to his style.

We’ve seen some Jordan-sponsored NCAA teams get player-specific colorways of the Jordan Luka 1; UCLA, NC State, Florida State, Marquette, and Oklahoma State, to name a few.

Now, even Doncic’s opponents are wearing his shoes on the court against the namesake. An unwritten rule in the NBA is not to wear your opponent’s shoes during a game. But that speaks to Jordan Luka 1’s meteoric rise in popularity.

After Doncic teased the shoe last spring, the Jordan Luka 1 will officially release in September 2022. On Nike’s website, fans can still shop the shoe in multiple colorways for $110 in adult sizes, $80 in older kids, and $50 in toddler sizes.
