HOW DO I DEFINE THE +1.5 RUN LINE?

You can see how much fuel your automobile is using on the +1.5-run line. It often sits next to the dashboard’s temperature and oil pressure gauges.

The run line is a technique used to determine game-betting odds in baseball.

The run line is the difference in runs scored between two teams during a game. It is typically shown on stadium scoreboards and available online or in printed guidebooks.

According to the rules of the run line betting system, if you wager on a team with an odds percentage (OP) larger than 1.5, your money will be returned even if that team doesn’t win by more than half of its total runs permitted (or whatever margin you specify).

If Team A had an OP of 3-1 and Team B had an OP of 2-2, for instance, and you had put $10 on Team A, and they hadn’t won by more than 50% (+/-), your bet would immediately be reimbursed ($7 back) to you. However, there are often only two situations in which the +1.5 chances might be applicable:

If both teams have the same number of runs after all balls, strikeouts, etc., the extra run(s) will be credited to the team with more runners on base at the end of the inning (OPR=+1);

Similar to how runs scored by batters who came through before the tying runner was counted usually regardless of whether it was their turn at bat OR not (.50/.50 =.75 each) when tied after all innings, OPR would again equate to +/- 1 per batter faced depending on which side started batting first in the subsequent (.25 each for starting with #1 the second time vs. starting with 0 the first time)
